# Writing a blog post

Share news with your community by writing and publishing blog posts.

The blog is a good place for community news, stories and updates.

1. Open Content in the admin menu and press Blog Posts.
2. Press Create blog post.
3. Enter a Title and write your post under Content.
4. Add a short Excerpt. It is shown in lists of posts.
5. Add a Featured image if you like. JPEG, PNG, GIF or WebP files up to 10 MB work.
6. Choose one or more Categories.
7. Set Status to Draft to keep working, or Published to share it.
8. Press Create blog post.

Members read published posts on the [Blog](/blog) page.

## Editing a post

On the **Blog Admin** page, open the post, make your changes and press **Save changes** . You can switch a post back to **Draft** to hide it.

## Working with several posts

Tick the posts you want, then choose an action such as publish, archive or delete.

Write short paragraphs and add a clear title. Many members read on a phone.
