# Making someone a broker or an admin

Change a member's role to Broker or Admin so they can help run your community.

You give someone extra rights by changing their role.

1. Open Users in the admin menu and press All Users.
2. Find the person. Press the three-dot button on their row, then Edit.
3. Open the Role list.
4. Choose Member, Broker or Admin.
5. Press Save Changes.

## Which role to choose

- Member: an ordinary member.
- Broker: helps run the community day to day in the Broker Panel. Some communities call this role "coordinator". The next time they sign in, they see Broker Panel in the bar at the top of the site.
- Admin: full control of your community, including settings and roles. They see Admin Panel instead.

## Limits

You can change the role of members and brokers. You cannot change another admin's role, email or status. Only someone with a higher level, such as the platform team, can do that.

To take rights away, choose **Member** and press **Save Changes** .

Give admin rights to as few people as you need. Admins can change everything, including other people's roles.
