# Checking the Activity Log

See who took important actions in your community, and when.

---

The **Activity Log** is a record of actions taken in your community, newest first. Use it to check who changed something and when.

1. Open Platform Operations in the admin menu.
2. Press Activity Log.

Each row shows:

- User: the person who took the action, with their email address.
- Action: what they did, such as Approve User, Delete Listing or Grant Credits.
- Description: more detail, where it was recorded.
- IP Address: the internet address the action came from.
- Date: when it happened.

The log shows 20 entries at a time. Use the page numbers at the bottom to look further back. Press **Refresh** to load the newest entries.

## Narrowing the list

Type a name, action or word into **Filter activity...** . The filter only looks at the entries on the page you are viewing. To search older entries, move to that page first.

## What the log contains

The log records many admin actions, such as approving, suspending or deleting members, changing categories and removing content. It also records some things members do, such as confirming their email address or changing their cookie choices. It does not record everything that happens in your community.

The log shows members' email addresses and internet addresses. Treat it as personal information and share it only with people who need it.
