# Adding your terms and privacy policy

Create your own Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and other legal documents, and choose when members accept them.

You can publish your own legal documents. Until you do, members see the platform's standard versions.

1. In the admin menu, open Enterprise and press Legal Documents.
2. Press Create Document.
3. Enter a Title and choose a Type.
4. Under Acceptance settings, choose whether members must accept it.
5. Press Create Document.
6. You see "Document created — now add its first version." Write the text of the first version and save it.

## Types you can create

- Terms of Service
- Privacy Policy
- Cookie Policy
- Accessibility Statement
- Community Guidelines
- Acceptable Use Policy

You cannot change a document's type after you create it.

## Asking members to accept

Switch on **Require acceptance** if members must actively agree. Then choose when, under **Require acceptance at** : **Registration** , **Next login** , **First use** or **No prompt** .

## Where members read them

Members find your terms at [Terms](/terms) , your privacy policy at [Privacy](/privacy) and your cookie policy at [Cookies](/cookies) .

Take advice on the wording of legal documents. The platform shows your text but does not check it.
