# How do I switch features on and off?

Turn whole sections, such as Events, Groups or the Wallet, on or off for your community.

You switch whole sections of your community on or off on the **Module Configuration** page.

1. Open Module Configuration. Some admin accounts also see it under Platform Operations in the menu.
2. Find the feature. Type its name in Search modules, or press Core or Features to shorten the list.
3. Press the switch on the feature's card.

The change saves straight away. You see a message such as "Events enabled" or "Events disabled".

## The two lists on the page

**Core Modules** are the main parts of the site, such as **Listings** , **Wallet** , **Messages** and **Feed** . **Optional Features** are extras, such as **Events** , **Groups** , **Blog** , **Volunteering** and **Federation** .

## What members notice

When you switch a feature off, it disappears from menus and pages for everyone. Members cannot use it. The information already in it is kept. If you switch it back on, it returns as it was.

Members who follow an old link to a switched-off section may see a **Coming Soon** page.

## Settings you cannot change

**Two-factor authentication** and **Passkeys & biometric login** can only be changed by the platform team. If you try, you see an error.

Switch features on one at a time, and tell your members what is new. It is easier to support people that way.
