# Understanding the Exchanges list

What each tab and status means, and what the exchange detail page shows.

[Exchanges](/broker/exchanges) lists the exchanges in your community. Use the tabs to filter them:

- All: every exchange
- Pending: waiting for a broker's approval
- Approved: approved and ready to start
- In Progress: the members are doing the work
- Completed: finished and the hours have moved
- Cancelled: stopped, or rejected by a broker
- Disputed: the members disagree

Each row shows the two members, the listing, the status, the hours and the date. The hours appear once the members have confirmed them.

## The exchange page

Press the view button on a row to open the exchange. It shows:

- Exchange progress: where the exchange has got to
- the Requester (the member asking for help) and the Provider (the member giving time)
- any Risk Tag on the listing, and whether it needs Broker approval required or Insurance required
- Broker Notes from the broker who decided on it
- History: each step, such as Request created, Provider confirmed hours and Requester confirmed hours, with who did it and when

Press **Back to Exchanges** to return to the list.
