# How do I correct a member's time balance?

Add or remove hours from a member's balance, with a reason the member can see.

You can add hours to a member's balance or take hours away. Use this to correct a mistake, not as a normal way to pay someone.

1. Open Members.
2. Press the three-dot menu on the member's row and choose View details.
3. Open the Actions tab and press Adjust balance.
4. In Amount (hours), type a positive number to add hours, or a negative number to remove hours. For example, type 2 to add two hours or -1.5 to remove one and a half.
5. In Reason, explain why. This is required.
6. Press Apply adjustment.

## What the member sees

The adjustment appears in the member's wallet as a separate entry. It shows your reason and "Admin" as the other party. The member also gets a notification.

## Limits

- A balance cannot go below zero.
- You cannot adjust your own balance. Ask another broker or an admin.
- The change is recorded with your name, the reason and the balance before and after.

## Correcting an exchange

If hours were recorded wrongly in a completed exchange, the Broker Panel cannot undo that exchange. The only fix available to you is to adjust each member's balance separately. Agree the correction with both members first. Mention the exchange in each reason so the history makes sense.

Adding hours creates new hours in your community. Follow your community's rules on when this is allowed.
