# How do I edit my profile?

Change your photo, name, introduction and location on the Profile tab in Settings.

You edit your profile in **Settings** .

1. Open Settings. Or open your profile and press Edit Profile.
2. Stay on the Profile tab.
3. Change what you need under Profile Information.
4. Press Save Changes.

## What you can change

- Profile Photo: press your photo, then choose Take photo or Choose from library. Use a JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP picture, up to 5MB.
- First Name and Last Name.
- Tagline: one short line about you.
- Bio: a few sentences about who you are and what you enjoy.
- Location: your town or city.
- Phone Number: only the staff who run your community, such as administrators and coordinators, can see this.
- Profile Type: Individual or Organisation. An organisation account shows its Organisation Name instead of a person's name.
- Date of Birth: you only need this if you want to verify your identity. If you enter it, it must show you are 18 or over.

If your identity has been verified, your name and date of birth are locked. This keeps them matching your ID.

A friendly photo and a short bio help other members feel comfortable getting in touch.
