# Adding photos and links to a post

Attach up to 10 photos, describe them for screen readers, and share links with a preview.

---

You can add photos to any post, and links show a preview automatically.

## Adding photos

1. Open the post box on the feed.
2. Press the photo area that says Click or drag photos here, or drag photos onto it.
3. Choose up to 10 photos. Each one can be up to 10 MB. JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP files work.
4. Drag the photos to change their order.
5. Press Add alt text on each photo and describe what it shows.
6. Write a few words to go with your photos.
7. Press Post.

Alt text is read aloud to people who use screen readers. A short, plain description is best, for example "Volunteers planting trees in the park".

Large photos are made smaller before they upload. This can take a moment.

## Adding a link

Paste a web address into your post. The platform tries to show a preview with the page's title and picture.

Some websites do not allow previews. In that case your post shows the link on its own.
