# Group notifications and leaving a group

Choose how often a group contacts you, or leave it.

You can choose how much you hear from each group.

## Notification settings

1. Open the group.
2. Press the megaphone button near the group name. It is labelled Notification preferences.
3. Choose a Notification Frequency.
4. Switch Email notifications and Push notifications on or off.
5. Press Save.

The frequency choices are:

- Instant to hear about new activity as it happens
- Digest to get one summary a day
- Muted to hear nothing from this group

## Leaving a group

1. Open the group.
2. Press Leave Group.
3. Confirm. You see Left the group.

You lose access to the group's discussions and files. You can ask to join again later.

The group's owner cannot leave their own group. If you are the only admin, you also cannot leave. Ask the owner to make another member an admin first.
