# Browsing and filtering listings

Search listings and narrow them down by type, category, time and distance.

Open [Listings](/listings) to see what members offer and need.

Type in the search box to look for words in the title, description, location or member's name, then press Enter.

Use the choices next to the search box:

- Type: All Types, Offers or Requests.
- Category: pick one, or keep All Categories.
- Sort: Recommended or Newest first.

Press **Filters** for more choices:

- Duration: Quick (under 1h), Short (1-3h), Half day (3-6h) or Full day (6h+).
- Service mode: Remote available or In-person only.
- Posted date: Today, This week or This month.
- Near me: shows listings close to the location on your profile. Then choose a distance.

Press **Clear filters** to start again.

You can switch between grid and list layouts with the buttons at the top of the page.

**Near me** uses the location on your profile. If you have not set one, you will see a message asking you to add it.
