# How do I create a listing?

Post an offer or a request in a few steps from the Listings page.

---

You create a listing from the Listings page.

1. Open Listings and press Create Listing.
2. Under Start with intent, choose Offer Help or Request Help.
3. Type a Title. Be specific, for example "Weekly help with food shopping" rather than one word.
4. Write a Description of what you offer or need.
5. Choose a Category. Add Skill Tags if you like.
6. Under Service delivery, choose In-person only, Remote only, Remote available or Depends on service.
7. Enter the Estimated Hours one exchange may take.
8. Add a photo if you like.
9. Press Create Listing.

Your new listing then opens so you can check it.

If a field is missing or too short, a message appears under that field. Fix it and press **Create Listing** again.

The **Location** comes from your profile. To change it, update your location in your profile settings.

If your community checks new listings first, your listing shows the status **Pending** until a coordinator approves it. Your community may also limit how many listings each member can have.
