# Voice messages and attachments

Record a voice message or attach a picture or document.

You can send a recorded voice message or attach a file.

## Voice message

1. In a conversation, press the microphone button.
2. If your browser asks, allow it to use your microphone.
3. Speak. The screen shows Recording....
4. Press Stop when you finish.
5. Listen back if you like. Press Send, or Cancel to throw it away.

If you see **Microphone Access Required** , allow the microphone in your browser settings and try again.

## Attachments

1. Press the paperclip button. On a phone, you may need to press the arrow first to show it.
2. Choose a file. You can attach pictures, PDF files, Word documents and text files.
3. Add a message if you like, then send.

To remove a file before you send it, press the cross next to it.

You can also react to a message with an emoji.
