# How do I change my password?

Change your password on the Security tab in Settings. You need your current password.

1. Open Settings and choose the Security tab.
2. Press Change Password.
3. Enter your Current Password.
4. Enter your New Password, then type it again in Confirm New Password.
5. Press Change Password.

## Good to know

- Your new password must be at least 12 characters long.
- You cannot reuse one of your recent passwords.
- After the change, your account is signed out on your other devices, such as another phone or computer. You may need to sign in again on this device too.
- You get a notification to tell you that your password was changed. If you did not change it, reset your password straight away and contact your community.

A phrase of three or four ordinary words is easier to remember, and harder to guess, than one word with symbols.
