# I can't sign in

The most common reasons you cannot sign in, and what to do about each one.

Find the message or problem you have, then follow the advice.

## Wrong email or password

Check you are using the email address you signed up with, and that Caps Lock is off. Press the eye button to see what you typed. If you still cannot get in, press **Forgot password?** and set a new password.

## Too many attempts

If you see **Too many attempts** , wait a few minutes, then try again.

## Your email is not confirmed

Press **Resend verification email** , then open the link in the new email. Check your junk or spam folder too.

## Waiting for approval

If you see **You're registered and waiting for approval** , a coordinator still needs to approve your account. You get an email when this happens. If you have been waiting a while, press **Contact the community** .

## Identity check not finished

If you see that your identity verification is still in progress, press **Continue verification** to finish it.

## Two-step verification problems

Lost your phone? Press **Use backup code instead** and enter one of your backup codes. If you have none left, contact your coordinator.

## Adults only

If you see **This platform is for adults aged 18 and over** , the account belongs to someone under 18. If this is a mistake, [contact the community](/contact) .

## Wrong community

If you belong to more than one community, check you chose the right **Community** on the sign-in page.
