# How do I download my data?

Download a copy of the information your community holds about you, as a file you can keep.

You can download a copy of the information your community holds about you. This includes your profile, the hours you have given and received, your transactions, listings, events and more.

1. Open Settings and choose the Privacy tab.
2. Press Download Your Data. Or go straight to Download Your Data.
3. Under Format, choose the kind of file you want. The choices are explained below.
4. Press Download my data.

The two formats are:

- ZIP archive (human-friendly): includes a guide that explains each part. Choose this if you are not sure.
- JSON (developer-friendly): one structured file. It is useful if you want to move your data to another service.

The file is prepared and saved to your device. Your past downloads are listed under **Recent exports** . You can download your data up to 5 times a day.

The file contains your personal information. Keep it somewhere private, and only share it with people you trust.
